        November 1, 2010As I've said on March 5, 2010, new
designs will be posted only in the FAST
SEARCH area. However, in that area I post a design such as dcross1
to many places - such as in DOVES, BIRDS, CROSSES, etc. As if
that's not enough to drive me insane, I have and will post here a
link to one page only. If you need to see all the pages, look at the
design and then choose pages that have parts of the design in them.
Such to say: A design with a cross, rose, candle, and/or a
particular saint will be found under all the pages marked accordingly.
And some don't think I'm worth the
$150 you pay me weekly, tuss-tuss!

October 18, 2010I know; I should have used orange for
         autumn. But green is appropriate
because while you weren't looking a hellva lot happened over here,
more than ever has happened around here since the days of Sam &
Lori, Eddie and Jim (circa 1992.)  This year - so far - we had 3
offers to purchase our Drawing Board. 2 of these bidders had no idea
what this Board is. They think it's a business. So when I told them
all I had to sell was the name, my designs and some odd programs,
they still offered a bid, but had no idea what they were bidding for.
The third, they know exactly what we are and we're still talking, but
        don't hold your breaths, folks.
Then to add to the mayhem, my trusty old Win98
computer crashed - it died. Gone. That's the machine I do all my
drawing on and all the conversions and postings. No Win98, no work
done at the Board (by me, anyway.)
Today, I was able to get it back up with all new
guts. But no one wants to deal with Win98 machines so I have no idea
how this will continue. So far, so ... I sure miss James.
Stay tuned .. I have posts to find among the
crashed files and to convert and post.

August 4, 2010  Relatives with cell phones
spent a week at our place in the forest. I finally got to actually
hold and view what the site looks like on a hand-held device. Tedious
little toy, huh? The Board doesn't look "terrible," but no
where good enough. So, for now, I will continue to develop, yet me
thinks the Board - the entire Board - will not look good on one of
those things for a long while. This look will work in a pinch, but
        that's about it.

note: I found a great resource for LOGOS. We've been sued so many
times and screamed at a thousand
more, it's amzing there is another company offering logos out there.
And they do it better than us. Please visit and bookmark : Seek Logo.com2

        June 22, 2010****URGENT***
Our usual instructions for downloading a design are to right click
        and use SAVE
TARGET or SAVE LINK AS. If you employ MS Explorer, ignore this
message: FIRE FOX browsers will not
download the design in this fashion. If you use Fire Fox simply click
directly on the file format you want and it will then be downloaded.
If you have been upset because the files you have tried to take give
you and error message (NOT THE PROPER TYPE) that's the reason why.

June 19, 2010WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR LOOK? Got tighter,
huh? I'm not doing this to prove I'm worth my $150 weekly paycheck -
but it helps, right? What you're seeing and experiencing is another
first for the industry - but not the Net. I figured while redoing the
entire site anyway with the FAST
SEARCH project, why not make us iPOD able and all hand held devices.
So that's the story. When you're at your next client's home or on
the golf course, and need to show them a design now there's no
waiting to get at a computer. Pull out your phone.
This will take some time, yet it will be finished
        long before the FAST
         SEARCH - that's for sure!
Our new FaceBook account will be managed by Cathy.
Oh, by the way, some of you have been asking to
see newly posted design BEFORE I post them. I keep the next
posting in a hidden file until I post them at: notpostedyet.htm
I update the file often; it is a working file. I do not suggest you
rely on it because it might look very different when I finally merge
it into the What's New. But, hey, knock yourself out.

        June 4, 2010Just a quick update:
 *:
The big website in the sky is working fine.  Any issues contact
me. So far, I cannot prevent multiple log ins so.....
 *:
I'm bringing back ADSTONE - you don't have to log in every
time you move from pages to designs - You may want to bookmark the
site in case the big site goes down or has troubles again. The
        location is http://www.mydrawingboardmirror.com
Because this site resides in my bed room, it will operate daily from
10AM until 10PM. EST. Requests to leave it on 24 hours will be gladly honored.
 *:
While bringing up the old ADSTONE, I found 1,400 designs we
thought had been lost. They are not posted and many are not in eps,
ai or 2d format. Fixing these and posting them will remian on my back burner.
 *:
Like I need more work, right?  I am going to redesign the site
so that you new users (The China guys especially) can clearly view
the Board via hand-held devices.  I would love one or more
of you to help me by viewing my new files. I haven't the bucks for
those things. Hmmm... does the membership want to buy...wait, I'm too
old for those silly, tiny, tedious devices. Anyone want to help?

June 3. 2010  Damn, that sucks!
OK, got this new server up and
going. Not without issues. Pay attention, please: The new
server requires you to log in twice - I'm still working on
changing that. Once to login when you request a page showing drawings
and once when you request to download the drawing. I had to type
in each and every one of your user-ids and passwords.
Remember those days? And for those of you who have been around since
the mid-90's recall how I misspell any word I can throw together. If
you cannot log in - or can once but not twice - alert me. I'll get it
right for you. Just like every time we switch servers we lose
drawing files, pages, all kinds of stuff. Please speak up when
you find something out of order. I have drawings to post and did a
lot in the Fast Search area - but it's after 1 AM and I'm not use to
        these chores anymore. Night, night.

        June 2. 2010  Every
time we change to a new server, I pray no one notices. Apparently, a
lot of you noticed.  Unfortunately, our hosting company
installed new software and they and we are baffled. Please hang in
there. Hopefully we'll be pretty-much normal very soon.

May  5, 2010  At this time each year I
post the new user access fees. As it stands presently, there
are no changes to to mention. I say this for a reason. You'll notice
I have few new designs to post and I did very little work over at the
FAST SEARCH area. Yet I have been consumed with Board business - and
not at calculating fees. That was figured out last December.  I
am not at liberty to say what ties me up at this time. And, yes, I am
being intentionally mysterious because I may have to come back later
with all kinds of news as well as a change to the access fees.
Just covering my back here, folks. Still I hope to have some exciting
news for y'all by month's end.

April 5, 2010  You guys put me on a one day schedule ..
think was in 2004. But the FAST
SEARCH project has me working hard everyday - and loving it and
not charging you for my time. This is a really nice area. You'd think
I've have no time at all for new postings - that's only half true. As
        I go through the designs
posted and create web pages around them in
the new area, I'm finding many designs that are corrupt  and/or
not in all popular formats. Know why? Because Gerber donated their
system to us in 1994.  Before that we never dealt with PLT or
EPS files. So I've been converting and re-posting like a mad
man. Which? Literally hundreds. Best I can
do to show you what I've been up to is to say that all  the
        pages listed HERE
have been all revised. Each and every design found on everyone of
those pages  has been confirmed to be valid, then posted on
        general pages in the FAST
SEARCH  area and very  often pages were created around
        each design.

March 5, 2010  My dearest mentors were Roy Buzwell, Don
Sheriff and "Little Hugo" Calderara. The last two being the
closest and most influential. And Hugo being the more famous as he
and Mike Colonna are the artists who sprung the modern look of sand
carving upon the world in the 1930's.  One day
"Little Hugo" and I had finished
spending an entire week redecorating one of my dad's showrooms.
No small feat as I was just a kid and Hugo a midget. We had embarked
on the project because St. Charles Memorials did under 2% of
my Dad's monument business. We wanted to turn that around - which
never happened. After we had finished our task,  Hugo and I
plopped atop a couple of 1-8x2-0s and Hugo sighed, "Looks great.
Now all we need is a customer."
As I mentioned in the pervious WHAT'S NEW,
I am plugging away at this new FAST SEARCH
project. It is really one of
those impossible dreams thingies. So far I've recreated 50 pages with
like 1000 yet to go - and that grows in number as new designs fill
old pages. But no one has commented on FAST CONNECT. There haven't
been new members (nothing new) or even a peek from staffers like
James or Cathy. I'm not discouraged. I'm one of those guys who grew
up awaiting results ... which seldom come.
 Hence
forward whenever I post new designs they will be posted ONLY into
the Fast Search area.  (except for the first two of  my
work posted below this one last time.)

        February 2, 2010Just a quick note. I am building a
completely separate website area called FAST
SEARCH Doing so will slow down new designs I personally draw -
this is a major project. It is being built because I am a bit tired
of hearing folks say that their searches give them too many designs
not of their keywords. OK, fine, we can do this one of 2 ways. Hire a
PHP programmer to do keyword searches - that's like $10,000 ...
Don't tell me, you're not for that, right? Or I can just do
design by design and post each on web pages with like keywords - that
will take the rest of my life, but that's what I'll do.
Any help is appreciated and ALL
COMMENTS and SUGGESTIONS are encouraged and sought after.
You can observe my progress at: FAST
         SEARCH.
This will be the icon for the
        new Fast Search ..............

January 4, 2010Wow, another year. Gosh, I'm been doing this since 1981 -
except for when Jimmy took over for a spell in 1988 and Sam &
